3 HEALING ICED TEA RECIPES

3 Healing Iced Tea Recipes
Did you know that next to water, tea is the most consumed beverage in the world?

It was 1904 World’s Fair that we need to thank for this refreshing beverage! Those extremely hot summers that were experienced saw the creation of their favorite teas cooled down to enjoy. By the Prohibition from 1920 to 1933, iced tea became extremely popular due to alcohol becoming illegal during this period.

Fast forward to 2015 and Ready-to-drink iced tea is estimated to be making more than $5.2 billion in sales annually. While traditionally, iced teas are flavored by tea and fresh fruit, companies now overcomplicate things by adding in excessive sweeteners, artificial flavors and other additives. So while you think you might be making the better choice when buying an iced tea from the store, be wary as gone are the days where this beverage is made of real ingredients!

Skip the store-bought iced tea and celebrate National Iced Tea Day by creating these iced tea recipes knowing that you are also boosting your nutrient intake, strengthening your immune systems, boosting your energy naturally and also providing your body with calming properties… And that is just some of the health benefits of real tea!
