INGREDIENTS 4 tbsp   gochugaru , Korean red pepper flakes or regular red pepper flakes 2 tbsp   mirin 3 tbsp  soy sauce 1 1/2 tbsp   fish sauce 2 tbsp   maesilaek , Korean plum extract or apricot jam 2 tbsp  sugar 1/4 tsp  black pepper 10  cloves garlic, chopped 1 1/2  lb pork butt, shoulder or belly, thinly sliced 1  large onion, sliced 1 tbsp  cooking oil 4  green onions, cut into  2 -inch long pieces 1  red or green chili, optional sesame seeds sesame oil INSTRUCTIONS Combine gochugaru, mirin, fish sauce, soy sauce, maesiaek, sugar, black pepper and garlic in a large mixing bowl and let it sit for 5 minutes. Gochugaru will absorb the moisture from the sauces and will become thick pasty sauce. Add pork and onion, mix well with your hand. Let it marinade at least 30 minutes to over night. Thicker the meat, longer marinate time. Heat a large skillet over high heat, add cooking oil. Add marinated pork and cook until pork is fully cooked and onions are soften

Summery Herbed Tuna Salad

Ingredients Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper 1/3 cup olive oil 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar 1 small shallot, minced 1 cup trimmed, chopped green beans 8 ounces dried farfalle(optional) I make this salad without pasta and really good One 5-ounce can solid white tuna, preferably packed in olive oil, drained 1/2 cup torn fresh basil leaves 1/2 cup shredded carrots 1/4 cup thinly sliced celery 1/4 cup thinly sliced fresh chives 2 medium vine-ripe tomatoes, chopped Directions Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Whisk together the olive oil, vinegar, shallot, 1/2 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of pepper in a large bowl. Cook the green beans in the boiling water until crisp-tender, 3 to 4 minutes. Transfer the beans to a colander with a slotted spoon and run under cold water to stop the cooking process. Add them to the bowl with the dressing. Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook according to the package directions.

How To Make Instant Pot Shredded Chicken

Ingredients 1 pound frozen boneless, skinless chicken breasts (usually about 2) 1 teaspoon kosher salt 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1 cup chicken broth, or 1 teaspoon Better Than Bouillon chicken base plus 1 cup water Quick BBQ Sauce, recipe follows (optional) Directions Place frozen chicken breasts in the Instant Pot. Season with salt and cumin, and pour in the broth. Cover with lid and  pressure-cook on high for 12 minutes , then let pressure release naturally for 10 minutes. (If you’re cooking from fresh or thawed chicken breasts, then pressure-cook on high for 6 minutes.) Uncover, carefully remove the breasts from the Instant Pot with tongs, then place them onto a cutting board and shred into pieces with two forks. (Sometimes before shredding, I like to cut the chicken in half lengthwise, against the grain, to shorten the strands first, which makes for softer meat in the end.) Ingredients 8   ounces   jalapenos ,   fresh 1/4   cup   onion ,   about 5 thin rings 2   cups RAW   sugar 1   cup  RAW apple  cider vinegar 1/4   cup   tequila Instructions Cut the stems off the jalapenos, remove seeds (for milder jalapenos), and slice. Cut the onion rings in half or fourths depending on the size. Set aside. Add the sugar and vinegar to a heavy saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil, stirring constantly until the sugar is dissolved. Turn the heat down and simmer the mixture for 5 to 10 minutes, or until it reduced by about half. Continue to simmer until the temperature reaches about 225F or the syrup thickens when dropped on a cold plate. Remove from heat. Carefully add the tequila, jalapenos, and onion. Return to heat. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring once in awhile to make sure the syrup isn't scorching. If it seems too thick add a tablespoon or two of water. Remove the pan from the heat. With a slotted sp

Cheddar Ranch Chicken Thighs 4 servings INGREDIENTS 2 pounds chicken thighs about 8 thighs or 4 chicken breasts sliced in half 2 teaspoons minced garlic 1/2 cup mayo 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded 1 packet ranch dressing INSTRUCTIONS Preheat the oven to 400. Brown Sugar Spiced Salmon

Ingredients 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1 tablespoon chile powder  1 teaspoon kosher salt  1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper  Four 8-ounce salmon fillets  METHOD: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, chile powder, salt and pepper. Put the salmon on the baking sheet. Evenly distribute the sugar-spice mixture over the top of the fillets. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, depending on thickness and desired doneness.

Ingredients 2 sourdough English muffins, split, or 4 slices sourdough, rye, or chaffles 2 tablespoons prepared mayonnaise (optional) 1 recipe Tuna Salad, recipe follows 1 cup shredded sharp farmhouse Cheddar cheese Tuna Salad: Two 6-ounce cans white meat tuna packed in water, drained 2 tablespoons minced celery 2 tablespoons minced red onion, soaked in cold water for 5 minutes and drained 1 teaspoon minced flat-leaf parsley 1/3 cup prepared mayonnaise 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard Freshly ground black pepper, Freshly squeezed lemon juice, to taste (optional) Directions Preheat the broiler and set the rack about 4 to 5 inches from the heat source.
