Circuit In The Round by DailyHIIT

This one I created while at the track in the rain. No one was there, so I had the track to myself and took my time going through it. When I did it, I ran 1.5 miles to the track, completed the below circuit and then ran 1.5 miles home. The circuit itself should take about 30 minutes give or take, depending on stride length and jump length down the track lane. If you are doing the entire workout at the track, start off with 2 lap warm up and stretch, then move to a lane on the track and go through the 5 exercises below moving down the lane, repeating until you get to your starting spot. I was in the far right lane, and I repeated it about 6 times. End with a 2 lap cool down and stretch. The next day I felt it ALL OVER, so get ready! Bodyweight ONLY! CIRCUIT IN THE ROUND 50 Plie Jump Squats
40 Walking Lunges
30 Push Ups
20 Frog Jumps (moving forward)
10 Pike Push Ups

Rethink Face Wash: The Oil Cleansing Method

TUTORIAL + PHOTOGRAPHY BY AMY NADINE, GRAPHIC DESIGN BY EUNICE CHUN We’ve been schooled to believe that if we have oily or acne-prone skin, everything we buy needs to be “oil-free” or it will break us out. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Period! Ceansing oils are actually non-comedogenic and won’t clog pores. Here’s the deal: A lot of oil-free cleansers out there strip our skin of natural oils, leaving it unbalanced and causing it to create more oil to rebalance it. Excess oil production equals more problematic skin. So I dare you to go against conventional wisdom and try the oil cleansing method. If you have oily skin, wash it with a cleansing oil. If you have dry skin, wash it with a cleansing oil. If you have normal skin, wash it with a cleansing oil. Get it? It’s the answer a lot of you have been looking for. It calms your skin down. Tells it everything is going to be ok. Keeps its natural pH balance without disturbing its natural moisture barrier. Zucchini Carpaccio Salad with Lemon, Herbs, and Goat Cheese

Zucchini Carpaccio Salad with Lemon, Herbs, and Goat Cheese

2 medium or 3 small zucchini, washed and thinly sliced into rounds, leaving skin on (I used a mandoline for slices that were 1.5 mm thick)
salt and fresh ground pepper to taste (I used ground sea salt)
1 lemon (use all the zest and juice, and I would choose a large lemon)
1/4 cup best quality extra virgin olive oil
1-2 T chopped dill
2 T thinly sliced chives
(Other herbs such as basil, mint, or parsley can be used. I would use 3-4 T of herbs, no matter which ones you choose.)
2 T crumbled goat cheese (could also use Feta, Ricotta, or Parmesan cheese for a slightly different version)

Wash zucchini and dry with paper towel or dishcloth, then thinly slice into rounds, using a mandoline or sharp chef's knife. (I used the 1.5 mm size for my mandoline.) Arrange the zucchini slices on a serving platter (either in a single layer or in several layers) and season with salt and fresh ground black pepper. (If you mak…

This Beauty Product Ingredient Might Trigger Early Menopause  by Anna Jimenez, Editorial Video Director

It's never a good thing when your menstrual cycle comes to a screeching halt due to your hairspray. Researchers at Washington University, Missouri, found that phthalates—chemicals in some cosmetics that are added to products like perfumes, hair gels and nail polishes to give longer staying power—could have a negative impact on hormones. More importantly, it could potentially cause early menopause for some women. Co-author of the study, Dr. Natalia Grindler, who presented at the American Society of Reproductive Medicine’s conference in San Diego, CA, studied the levels of phthalates in the blood or urine of more than 5,000 women, and found that women with the highest amount of the chemical in their bodies went through the change an average of two years earlier. Since the average woman goes through menopause at the age of 51, that means these women experienced i…
