Do You Wash Your Face in the Shower?

Who doesn’t wash their face in the shower, right? You already wash your hair, shave your legs and brush your teeth in there, so why not get the face washing over with too?
Well… that might not be such a good idea.
I know what you’re thinking: I’ve been doing it my whole life; how can it be wrong? After all, there’s water in the shower and water in the sink, what difference does it really make? As it turns out, more difference than you might think…
Shower water is too hot
First off, it all comes down to how hot the water is. You probably prefer to shower in hot-hot water, but that’s not really good for your complexion.
If you wash your face in the sink youou can gauge the temperature more effectively and should use lukewarm to cold water, which is better for delicate faces. I have to admit that I take warm/cold showers. I am a cold water therapy gal. So, me I do wash my face in the shower. But the majority of you take hot. So, please, please wash your face in the sink after you shower.
Warm, not hot.
While a little warm water is a great way to open your pores (so you can really clean deap), too much heat could dry out your skin and strip it of its natural oils. There is really scientific studies about out there! So seriously, keep your face away from your scalding shower water!
Hot water can damage the skin
Hot water and temperatures will dilate blood vessels and capillaries. That can leave skin red and aggravate conditions like rosacea, which ultimately leads to broken and permanently dilated vessels.
And don’t use body wash on your face!
I shouldn’t really have to say this, but your shower gel is NOT a face wash. Do not use one product for both jobs; it will not end well. You should never use shower gel as face wash, and also that a gentle foaming face wash will do wonders for our skin if you have oily to combination skin. This is why I recommend Algallure Age Defying Creamy Cleanser. It is amazing for all skin types.

At LEAST wash your face last
Your shampoo could also be causing you to break out — especially if you’ve been shower-washing your face before rinsing your shampoo and conditioner.
Some shampoos can cause what’s called pomade acne along your hairline, back and shoulders. Now, oil-based shampoos could be the culprit here, but simply changing your in shower routine will also help you avoid breakouts.
So if you’re going to be insistent about washing your face in the shower, then be careful about how you do it and what you use.
Right, now I am offering 20% off the cleanser from Algallure. But to be smart by the AlgAllure® AlgaRiche® Skin Care Collection. You will thank me. My skin is amazing because of the skincare. It has Phycoderm. Which is the algae that works well with all skintypes. Use the code: TIFF20.
