Guasacaca Sauce
Guasacaca Avocado Sauce - this sauce is the "secret" green sauce served at many Latin American restaurants - smother it on tacos, quesadillas, arepas and more!
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, seeded, deveined, chopped
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 bunch fresh parsley leaves (~ 1 cup lightly packed)
  • 1/2 bunch fresh cilantro leaves (~ 1 cup lightly packed)
  • 1/2 lime, juiced
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 pickled jalapeno pepper slices
  • 2 teaspoons mayonnaise
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2-3/4 cup water
Try Cheesy, Creamy Rice with Broccoli
  1. Put everything in food processor except for water; process until smooth; gradually add water and process until smooth. Add more water to reach the desired consistency. I like it slightly pourable.
Can be added on to tacos,nachos,salad,mashes.
