3 Easy Ways to Wing Out Eyeliner
A perfectly winged stroke of eyeliner can take any beauty look to the next level. Actually creating one? Easier said than done. There are so many variables involved — are your hands shaky or steady? Have you been winging like a pro for years or are you an eyeliner newbie? Do you have 5 minutes or 5 seconds? Are you attempting this before or after happy hour drinks? It can be tempting to just give up on the winging game altogether. But before you resign yourself to a life of bland, liner-less lids forever, give us a moment: we sought advice from professional makeup artist Emma Willis to help make winged liner as simple as one, two, three. Below are three ridiculously easy ways to wing out your eyeliner, no Q-tips required.
Supplies:
Cream or gel eyeliner
An angled eyeliner brush

Classic Line
1. Start at the inner corner of your eye and sweep the eyeliner outward, gradually making the line thicker as you get closer to the outer edge of your eye.
2. Extend the liner past the edge of your eye at a slight angle, following the curve of your lower lid.
Flicked Line
1. Draw a thick line across the edge of your eyelid using short strokes and stopping at the edge of your lid.
2. Extend the liner and flick the end up at a 25-degree angle, then fill in.
Dramatic Line
1. Draw a thicker line across your upper lash line, stopping at the edge of your lid.
2. Extend the liner and flick up as you would for a flicked line. Draw a line from the edge of your winged liner and connect it with the line you just traced along your lash line. Then, just fill in the space for a bold, dramatic winged liner look!
