Just about everywhere and even in Florida, it is cold outside!  Bask in the warmth of your own home with tropical island dreams and aromas with these very easy recipes.

Coconut Mint Salt Glow Treatment

This treatment is to exfoliate and condition your skin, give special attention to rough patches, especially on feet.  I did not measure for my treatment, but I am pretty good at guesstimating for you.

Ingredients:

4 ounces Dead Sea Salt or whatever salt you have on hand, I used Black Sea Pink Salt
1 (or 2) tbs Coconut Cream-not coconut milk, the thick coconut cream can be found in the isle where the drink mixers are located in the grocery store.
2 tsp Spearmint body or massage oil

Directions:

In a bowl, mix together all ingredients.  Either stand in the shower or bathtub.  Apply the salt glow in a circular motion to chest, arms, hands, legs, feet and back, if you have a partner.  Let the salt do the work; do not rub it in hard, use the circular motion with a firm, but not hard pressure.  Either shower off or with the salt glow still on your body, step into a tub filled with water and soak as long as you like.  Gently pat skin dry.

Endless Summer Fruity Facial Masque

This is a beautiful aromatic, effective facial masque that can be prepared quite easily and in less than five minutes.  It is loaded with beneficial nutrients, antioxidants, plus it feels cool and luscious on the skin.  I think you will be amazed at how soft, supple and beautiful your skin looks and feels after this homemade facial masque.

Ingredients:

Equal parts Mango & Kiwi flesh (organic if possible)
Organic Cocoa Powder-1/2 teaspoon

Directions:

Use a shallow dish to mix up the masque.  Peel and chop the mango and kiwi flesh very fine, then mash it up well with a fork.  Add the cocoa powder.  Mix everything together.

Applying the Masque:

Using a circulation motion, apply this mixture to face and neck with your fingers.  There may be little chunky bits, don't worry about those, just massage them into your skin, the kiwi seeds will help to gently exfoliate.  Leave on for about 5-10 minutes or until it dries.  Tissue off the bulk and rinse well with warm water.  Pat skin dry and moisturize.

About the Ingredients:

Kiwi is rich in Vitamin A, B complex, C, E, calcium, iron and folic acid; the tiny tender seeds assist with gentle exfoliation.  Mangos are rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.  They contain an enzyme which helps to unblock pores and whisk away dead cells, smoothes and rejuvenates dry skin.  Cocoa powder is high in antioxidants and aids in gentle exfoliation.

Additional Information:

Mix this recipe, just before you are ready to use it.  If you have extra left, discard it, share with someone or use it on other areas.  If your skin is super sensitive or if the mixture is too thin, add some ground oatmeal (to soothe and/or thicken) to the recipe.
