Cayenne Pepper-Benefits and Recipe

Cayenne Pepper

This powerful ingredient can reduce cellulite and help your body to get rid of toxins!
Long celebrated for its wide range of health benefits, cayenne pepper is a favorite among many of the world's best chefs, as well as many of the world's most knowledgeable skin care experts.
The Reason
Cayenne pepper is a versatile and very effective treatment for a number of skin problems, including, but not limited to, cellulite.  This plant is known to help break up fat from within our bodies, and with continued consumption and topical application, can put an end to the unsightly "bumpy-stuff" women often see on thighs, buttocks, and even arms and legs.
Cellulite is partially the result of impaired lymph flow throughout your body. It begins when numerous fat cells, which are the result of excess waste and other toxins lingering in your body too long, collect in one area.  The lymph fluid accumulates in theses pockets of fat which causes raised areas. The dimpling effect happens when the connective fibers in the skin pull down in those same areas where the body fat is pushing up.
Cayenne pepper is the greatest natural blood-circulation stimulant that is easily, and harmlessly, used. And because it supports the lymphatic system, consuming the spice can help eliminate toxins from the body and reduce the appearance of dimpled skin.
In addition, topical application provides positive results as well. When applied to the affected area, water and oil soluble compounds in the pepper can dilate capillaries and help increase circulation. These compounds can also penetrate skin tissue and treat the broken blood vessels that generally accompany cellulite prone areas. Applying cayenne to the skin can additionally increase the efficiency of other ingredients such as coffee, kelp, grapefruit extract and oil, and lemongrass,  allowing them to work to their maximum effectiveness.
Cayenne pepper is known as an ancient healer for many reasons. It has the ability to heal the body from the inside out and for this reason, it has successfully been used as a natural cellulite treatment. Though it is spicy, it is an extremely soothing and healing herb.

The Cayenne Spice Rub
What You'll Need...
1/4 cup coffee , whole beans
1/3 teaspoon cayenne pepper, organically grown is best
1/3 teaspoon cinnamon, Vietnamese is the best variety
3 tablespoons olive, apricot or sesame oil
1 tablespoon of honey - as always, honey from a local beekeeper is best
Juice from 1/2 a fresh lemon, once again organic if available

The How- To...
Topical Use
Grind 1/4 cup of coffee beans very finely. Add 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon. Mix thoroughly.
The caffeine in coffee helps tighten the skin, while the spice helps stimulate blood circulation.
Add three tablespoons of olive, apricot or sesame oil and one tablespoon of honey. Combine to mix thoroughly. Honey has  antiseptic properties and acts as a "sealant", while the oil serves to moisturize your skin naturally.
After your shower, vigorously rub this onto the affected area for a couple of minutes. Wash it off well with a sensitive-skin formula, unscented, glycerin soap. This will not disturb the aroma of your scrub and also be less likely to counteract the benefits.

Culinary Use
This recipe has excellent use in the kitchen as well.  And by upping your intake of cayenne pepper, as well as the other ingredients in this recipe, you will get the maximum benefits. Mix the ingredients, and use as a rub for chops, steaks, chicken breasts, fish and roasts of any kind.  Grill, bake or roast as usual.
Also, you can use these ingredients to coat vegetables before roasting or stir-frying.  Cut thick slices of sweet red or green peppers, zucchini, summer squash, sweet onions or potatoes, and dredge them in the spice mix.  Roast them in the oven, or fry in a wok.

How Often Is Enough
Whenever it comes to applying a skin treatment, and/or making dietary changes that benefit the skin, staying with those changes is the key to success.
Apply the rub to your body daily if you can, or at the least 4 times per week.  Use the rub in cooking at least 3 times per week, or more.  Your body will begin to rid itself of unwanted toxins, such as pollution, pollen, dust, excess sugar in the diet, artificial ingredients in foods, and other things we eat or breathe in that we simply don't need, and you should both see and feel good results in about 30 days, with the most significant changes happening from 90 days to a year, depending on the individual.
