Goat's Milk-For the Skin

What are the benefits of goat’s milk for your skin?

Yup! You read it right. Milk is all forms has been used for centuries in baths to rejuvenate and refresh the skin. Legends say that even Cleopatra herself indulged in a regular milk and honey bath, and it may have been why her beauty is still famous today.

But why milk? And why goat’s milk especially?
Milk is creamy, moisturizing, and packed with skin loving nutrients! Goat’s milk especially is extremely nourishing for the skin, often recommended for those with sensitive skin or certain skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. It is rich in calcium, phosphorous, sodium (natural), potassium, magnesium, Vitamin A,  Vitamins B-1, B-2, B-3 and B-12, Pantothenic Acid, Biotin, Choline, and other trace elements and vitamins.

So, how do bath and body products utilize these benefits?
The skin is the largest organ in the human body. It is both protective and permeable, meaning it forms a barrier against unwanted invaders, but at the same time, it will absorb minerals and vitamins that it sees as beneficial. Pretty smart organ! Because goat’s milk is readily absorbed by the skin, the body receives all those nutrients, too. Thus, using bath and body products that contain this rich source of nutrients soothes the skin on the outside and the inside. It’s a double dose of goodness!
