The Beauty Chef’s Papaya Mask

Carla’s DIY Papaya mask utilizes natural probiotics to promote clear skin. Probiotics have been known for years as the key to a healthy digestive system, offering our bodies a simple alternative to detoxifying juice cleanses. These healthy bacteria maintain the function of the intestines which support the digestive system and boosts our immune systems. Because we are healthier, our skin looks better! You are what you eat, after all—and naturally, so is your skin. While we are constantly told to ingest probiotics, experts like Carla also recommend applying probiotics topically.
Here’s how you can make The Beauty Chef’s Papaya Mask:
Ingredients:
1/4 papaya
3-4 strawberries
1/3 cup cooled green tea
1/2 tsp lime
3 tsps citrus pectin (you can usually find this in the canning section of your grocerystore)
How to make it:
1. Blend all ingredients together except for the citrus pectin
2. Once they are blended well, slowly add the citrus pectin to the blender until it forms a gel like consistency.
3. Apply a thin layer to skin! This mask is great on the face, neck and décolletage, and even the backs of the hands. Leave on for ten to twenty minutes, then wipe off with a warm washcloth. You and your mom will have beautiful skin!
4. Freeze left overs in small portions an ice cube tray and each time you need a fresh mask, simply pop out a portion and thaw.
