Sweet Garlic Chicken
Ingredients
- 2 lb(s) boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup(s) honey
- 1 tbsp molasses
- 1 lime juiced
- 1/2 cup(s) apple cider juice
- 1/4 cup(s) water
- 3 clove(s) garlic minced
- 2 tbsp tamari or coconut aminos
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional
- 2 tbsp arrowroot
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 lb(s) boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup(s) honey
- 1 tbsp molasses
- 1 lime juiced
- 1/2 cup(s) apple cider juice
- 1/4 cup(s) water
- 3 clove(s) garlic minced
- 2 tbsp tamari or coconut aminos
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional
- 2 tbsp arrowroot
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Process
- Coat slow cooker with olive oil.
- Place chicken inside slow cooker.
- Mix all remaining ingredients, except arrowroot together.
- Pour over chicken.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
- Take chicken pieces out of slow cooker and pour remaining sauce into saucepan.
- Place saucepan over high heat.
- Mix arrowroot and 2 tbsp. of water, pour into saucepan, and mix well.
- Let sauce come to a boil and boil for 2-3 minutes, or until it starts to thicken and turns into a glaze.
- Remove from heat and let sit for a minute or two (it will continue to thicken as it cools down).
- Sprinkle red pepper flakes on top if desired.
