The Concealer Map How To
We all need a little help in how-to-get-gorgeous-skin department. Makeup artist Sara Biria is here to show and tell exactly how to get a perfect complexion, just by following this concealer map.
1. Prep your face. Wash with a gentle cleanser and then moisturize, so that your concealer goes on smoothly.
2. Target the areas of your face that you'd like to even out with concealer. To conceal trouble spots, like dark circles or redness around your nose, apply a liquid concealer that's the same shade or one shade slightly lighter than your skin tone. Use a concealer brushto dot it on above the brow, along the brow bone, under your eyes, along the corners of your mouth, on your chin, and around your nostrils. Model Brenna used Yves Sant Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch in 2 and 3. "This formula is a thicker consistency than foundation, so you can even skip applying a base to your face," Biria says. "You basically just need concealer to camouflage certain spots and if it's enough for you, then great. If it isn't, then you're going to want to apply foundation first and then continue with this step."
3. Blend the concealer. Using a flat concealer brush, pat the brush against your skin to spread the product evenly.
4. Look at your face in the mirror to be sure everything is blended properly. If the concealer isn't blended enough yet, take a makeup sponge, dampen the tip of it with water, and work the concealer outward to diffuse any lines of demarcation.
Boom. Flawless skin in a minute flat that even Bey would be jealous of.
