Paleo Salmon Burgers

I use the term paleo to note that this recipe does not use grains, gluten, dairy, etc.
2 cans wild caught salmon ( I use Wild Planet)
2 green onions finely chopped
¼ cup white or yellow onion finely chopped
2 garlic cloves minced
1 tsp Red Boat fish sauce (optional)
1 T finely chopped fresh dill
1 egg
Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium size mixing bowl. Use an ice cream scoop or measuring cup to form patties the size of your choosing. I make mine on the larger side and get 5-6 burgers from this recipe.
  2. Preheat skillet to medium and add 1 T fat of choice.
  3. Cook patties on both sides until golden and a nice crust forms. If you don’t allow them to cook long enough, you will have trouble flipping them. About 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. Serve with cut up fresh lemons and a side of sautéed spinach.
