Summer to Fall
With summer quickly giving way to the chilly fall air, it’s time to give yourself a mini-makeover. While it’s sad to see the warm summer and all of it’s fun styles head out for the year, you can get excited about the new fall styles! Try these tips to help take your look from summer to fall.
1. Ditch the bright eyeshadow: This summer, we saw bright colors and bold eyes. It’s time to take your eyes a few shades darker. Switch your pallets out with muted earth tones, like deep green and maroon.
2. Hold your Glow: Holding on to that summer glow is one of the hardest parts of fall. In order to subtly change your shine into the fall months, keep applying a highlighter to give you that color. Apply your bronzer below the check bone for a more sculpted look rather than a bronze beach bunny.
3. Cover up summer-skin damage: While your skin makes the transition away from a sun kissed tan, it is important to apply foundation and concealer to keep your coloring looking even. Try this color correcting foundation from Smashbox.
4. Let your brows go: With the fall comes longer hair and bolder brows. Let your eyebrows grow out for a full, natural look. Making the transition to bold brows can be tricky at first. Use an eyebrow pencil or eyeshadow to fill in your brows until they reach your desired shape.
5. Transition your nails: Bright shades weren’t just for the eyes this summer. Nail polish was bright and creative with decorative nail art. Start to shift out the brighter colors with deeper tones. Still looking to get creative? Try going for a metallic nail, or a studded decal on a muted color.
