How to Make Chamomile and Sage Astringent
If your face tends to be oily, homemade chamomile and sage astringent might be just the thing to tone, refreshen and revitalize. This natural astringent can dry oily skin without harmful chemicals, leaving your face healthy and glowing.

- 1Put 2 cups of fresh sage, 3 tbsp. of fresh mint and 1/2 oz. of dried chamomile on a cutting board and tap them lightly with the handle of a table knife to release their beneficial oils.
- 2Place the fresh herbs in a large glass jar and pour in 3/4 cup of witch hazel and 5 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar.

- Attach the lid securely and shake the bottle so that the herbs are coated with witch hazel and apple cider vinegar.
- 4Allow the herbs to to steep for 7 to 8 days, shaking the jar daily.
- 5Strain the chamomile and sage astringent, repeating several times if necessary, to remove the herbs. Store the astringent in an airtight container.
- 6Use your chamomile and sage astringent as you like to clean and tone your face.
