DIY Fennel Skin Soother
DIY Fennel Skin Soother
Keeping the skin’s pH level in balance helps prevent common skin problems such as dehydration, excess oil production, flakiness, and sensitivity. This skin-softening toner can help keep pH levels in check and is easy to make and much cheaper than conventional over the counter options. You will need:
1 tbsp crushed fennel seeds
2 cups distilled water
¼ cup raw apple cider vinegar
1 tsp vegetable glycerin
Crush the fennel seeds using a mortar and pestle. Boil the water, remove from heat, and add the crushed seeds. Cover and allow the mixture to steep for 45 minutes. Add the vinegar and glycerin, then stir and strain the liquid. Pour into a clean container, and shake well to blend. Using a cotton ball, apply about 1 tsp to the face or more for a full body splash. No refrigeration is required, but product should be used or discarded within 30 days.
