TRADITIONAL (LEFTOVER LAMB) SHEPHERDS PIE

 



INGREDIENTS

Pie Topping (Mash potato)

  • 2 lbs potato, peeled and cubed
  •  1 cup  Milk
  • 1.5 TB Butter
  • salt, to taste

Pie Filling

  • 2 cups cooked lamb roughly chopped
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 brown onion
  • 3/4 cups fresh mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 13/4 TB olive oil
  • 1.5 cups vegetables/fruits, leftover roast veg or frozen peas, corn & carrot mix
  • 1 1/4 cups beef liquid stock, or water & stock concentrate
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup g red wine
  • 1-2 tbsp arrowroot Flour, depending on sauce thickness
