Carrot Cantaloupe Juice Recipe

Carrot Cantaloupe Juice Recipe
This recipe makes enough for one good size glass, or two small glasses of juice.  If you want more, then double or triple the recipe or just juice the whole melon.  Cantaloupes are quite juicy, so you really get a lot for your money in this recipe.

Ingredients:

1/4 of a Cantaloupe Melon
5 Long Carrots

Note:  If you don't have cantaloupe, you could replace it with 1/4 of a honeydew melon.

Directions:
Wash the cantaloupe and cut it in half.  Cut it in half again and set aside about 1/4 of the melon for the recipe.  Cut that peice into smaller peices that are able to fit into your juicer. Leave the rind on the cantaloupe- it has many nutrients and is okay to juice.

Wash the carrots and set aside.

Juice the cantaloupe and carrots as usual.

Before I show you the finished product, you should know that if you prefer just cantaloupe juice, it tastes amazing and is a beautiful bright green color.  That tiny green strip along the rind really influences the color!  Sometimes this doesn't happen, though.  It depends on if you juice the rind, the type of cantaloupe and how much green has developed along the rind.  Sometimes it will be peachy colored juice.

It can look like this...

When you mix the carrots with it the juice turns a funky looking color.  Orange and green aren't the prettiest when mixed together, but it sure tastes good!

Here's the finished product....

This drink has a very hydrating and cooling effect on your body.  It's a wonderful juice any time you can get your hands on a nice, juicy melon.

Personally, I think it's great for breakfast.

Test it out and see what you think!

Have a juicy day!
