How To Make Vanilla Lip Scrubs

If you are dying to get a pair of silky-smooth lips with zero bits of flaky skin, this basic vanilla lip scrub is what you need to make today. This is highly effective for lip exfoliation and can do the trick without being harsh to them. And I love a good DIY. I have several glass lip balm containers that I am refurbishing for this. Great as gifts!! I will be making 1 & 2 since I have 2 jars.

Supplies Needed:

  • Brown sugar – 1 tablespoon (white sugar will also do)
  • Pure raw organic honey – 1 tablespoon (for a thicker and stickier consistency, reduce the amount of honey to (1/2) tablespoon)
  • Vanilla extract – 2 to 3 drops

Recipe 2:

Coconut oil is another kitchen ingredient with awesome hydrating qualities. Hence, if you incorporate it in your homemade vanilla lip scrub, the end product will give you soft kissable lips in minutes. This easy-peasy recipe is also an inexpensive one.

Supplies Needed:

  • White / brown sugar – 2 tablespoons (go for the one with large granules)
  • Organic coconut oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Vanilla extract – (1/4) teaspoon

Steps To Follow:

  1. Pour the coconut oil into the mixing bowl. If it is in the solid form, melt properly by using a double-boiler.
  2. Add white or brown sugar to the melted oil and stir with the spoon.
  3. Once the sugar granules are dissolved to some extent, add vanilla extract.
  4. Give the whole thing a final mix and pour it into the jar.

Recipe 3:

Want to make your lips feel refreshed every time you exfoliate them? Add a touch of peppermint to your homemade vanilla-flavored lip scrub and there you go! The recipe is pretty easy too!

Supplies Needed:

  • Brown sugar – 2 tablespoons
  • Organic coconut oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Vanilla extract – 4 to 5 drops
  • Peppermint essential oil – 2 to 3 drops

Steps To Follow:

  1. Take the coconut oil in the mixing bowl and add brown sugar to it.
  2. Combine with the fork to form a mixture of uneven texture and thick consistency.
  3. Add vanilla extract and peppermint essential oil to it and blend well once again.
  4. Transfer the lip scrub to the airtight container for future use.

  2. Blend everything together with the help of the fork.
  3. Add vanilla extract to it and mix thoroughly for one more time.
  4. Store the freshly made vanilla lip scrub in the airtight container.

Treat your dry, chapped lips with this super delicious vanilla lip scrub and experience the magic! Enriched with agave nectar and olive oil, this homemade scrub gives smooth, soft and perfectly moisturized pout in no time.

  3. Pour vanilla extract into the mixture and give the entire thing a final mix.
  4. Transfer your vanilla lip scrub to the tub or other storage container and store it in a cool, dry place.

Application Of Homemade Vanilla Lip Scrub

Wash your lips with clean lukewarm water and pat dry with a soft, dry piece of cloth. There should be no trace of any type of lip care or beautifying products on them. Apply a pea-sized amount of your homemade vanilla lip scrub to your lips with the help of a soft and clean baby toothbrush. Massage the scrub onto your lips by moving the brush in a small but firm circular motion. Continue for 2 to 3 minutes and then, wash the scrub off your lips with fresh clean water. Pat dry with a soft tissue and apply a generous amount of your favorite lip balm.

Enjoy soft, smooth, supple and kissable lips!
