MY TAKE:
I have such a love for essential oils. And Rosehip is one.I was so excited when I was able to test this oil out I even sent a bottle to a friend of mine. (Thank you Melissa for all you do) Immediately I put the oil on the back of my hands. It soaked it right up. Now I know what you are thinking, this is going to smell like roses. But Rosehip Oil does not. So if you want a smell you can always add another essential oil to it. I tried many uses for this oil. And they also send you a nice PDF to tell you the many uses you can use with it. My favorite is adding it to my body lotion, cuticles, and my cleansing lotion. Also putting it in a facial mask I like to do once a week. I tried it even after my Retin-A treatment around my dry areas like my eyes, mouth and chest.Really amazing stuff. If you want to experiment with it the skies the limit on this lucious oil. My skin feels and looks amazing!!
What treat rosehip oil and what properties it has:
Despite the interest held by ancient civilizations, this oil is a relatively new ingredient used in cosmetics today and gain in importance because of its scientifically proven benefits. Referring to nutrilife cosmetic industry, skin care products which you can now chooses are many and varied. It became very difficult to find the right cosmetic product for skin type of each person. Another great recipe to make your own moisturizer here>>
Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream
2 tsp jojoba oil
1 tsp coconut oil
3 tsp apricot kernel oil
3 tsp Rosehip seed oil
5 drops carrot-seed essential oil (optional)
1 1/2 tsp beeswax pastilles
5 tsp rose-water
Place beeswax, jojoba, coconut, rosehip and essential oils (basically everything besides the rose water!) in a double boiler or right in a stainless steel pan (I have one just for making homemade skincare). Heat on low very gently to melt wax about 5-8 minutes. Stir well, remove from heat. Slowly stir in rose water. Place in fridge until set. Makes a small 2.5 oz jar. Use under eyes in the morning and evening.
