If you’re anything like us, when the cool weather hits, your skin freaks and gets extra thirsty. And all the moisturizers and oils in the world won’t do a lick of good if you don’t also hydrate and fortify your face from the inside out. Luckily, nature is the ultimate “manufacturer” of glow-begetting beauty foods—and not just the usual suspects, like cucumber, lemon, and avocado.
Enter this moisture-boosting smoothie that’s full of stealth skin-savers, like coconut oil, which helps keep skin supple and healthy with emollients, antioxidants, and healthy fats.
It’s also got spinach, which prevents oxidative stress (when UV rays cause damage or dull-looking skin).
Add in frozen strawberries (which have beacoup anti-inflammatory benefits), bananas(bursting with potassium), and peanut butter (packed with satisfying protien and immunity-boosting B6), and you’ve got a sweet, creamy smoothie that tastes so indulgent you’ll forget it’s basically like therapy for your skin. —Jennifer Kass
