EASY KETO KOREAN GROUND BEEF BOWL RECIPE

 




Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil 
  • 1 ¼ pound lean ground beef or ground turkey
  • 2/3 cup water chestnuts minced
  • 2/3 cup mushrooms minced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon SweetLeaf stevia drops or RAW honey (we do not do sugar it can be used)
  • ½ teaspoon blackstrap molasses or RAW honey can be left out or replaced with a low carb sweetener ( I used Swerve)
  • ¼ cup soy sauce or coconut aminos for paleo
  • ½ teaspoon fresh ginger minced or a couple dashes ground ginger
  • 1 tsp fish sauce, optional
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper I like it spicy, use less if desired
  • 1 bunch green onions sliced

Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and brown ground beef with garlic, mushrooms in the oil. Drain off fat.
  • Add stevia, molasses, soy sauce,fish sauce, ginger, and red pepper.
  • Simmer and stir for a few minutes to blend seasonings than add water chestnuts
  • Serve over cauliflower rice and top with sliced green onions. Even top w/ a egg for that next level yum.

Notes

Those on strict keto and paleo can omit the blackstrap molasses or replace it with another suitable sweetener.
Sesame seeds make a nice garnish to sprinkle on top to give the dish a traditional Asian touch.
