French Onion Meatloaf
INGREDIENTS 1 pound ground beef ▢ 1 pound ground pork ▢ 6 ounces Gruyere cheese , grated and divided ▢ 1 large yellow onion , sliced thin ▢ 2 whole eggs , beaten ▢ ½ cup almond flour ▢ 4 cloves garlic , minced ▢ 1 tablespoon au jus mix ▢ 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce ▢ 1 tablespoon butter ▢ 1 tablespoon olive oil ▢ 2 teaspoons fresh thyme , chopped ▢ 1 teaspoon salt , divided Instructions Add the butter, olive oil, onions, half the salt and pepper to a large skillet over medium low heat. Sauté until the onions are caramelized, should take about 25 minutes. Remove and reserve ⅓ of the onions for the topping. Add in the minced garlic and continue sautéing for another 30 seconds.
