Blueberry Cuke Smoothie

As for the blueberries, you can always use fresh ones if they happen to be in season, but the frozen ones give a great cool temperature to this smoothie. In addition to that, frozen blueberries are often fresher that the fresh ones because they were frozen right after being picked up. I personally like to buy the frozen wild blueberries, which are smaller, but very colourful, juicy and packed with high levels of vitamin C and other beneficial antioxidants.
A final touch is added to this smoothie with a little bit of fresh lemon juice, which adds just the right amount of sour taste to it.
Enjoy this very quick smoothie recipe whenever you feel pressed by time and when a home cooked meal is just out of the question. This way, smoothies can be a great way to prevent you from slipping away from your good habits by allowing you to bring something with you at work or at school without having to prepare anything fancy.
